A toddler was found frozen to death on her porch Friday afternoon in Akron, Ohio.
The toddler’s mother reportedly called the police at 3:30 p.m. and told the 911 dispatcher she found her daughter “frozen” outside.
In attempts to help the 2-year-old child, the 911 dispatcher gave the woman resuscitation but instructions, unfortunately, it was too late.
Monday, The Summit Medical Examiner’s Office Examiner’s office identified the girl as Wynter Parker and said the toddler suffered severe hypothermia.
However, an official cause of death has not yet been determined.
Temperatures in Akron, Ohio ranged from 12 to 19 degrees the day of the incident.
Witnesses told Fox News they have seen the child’s mother leave the toddler and her brother alone outside in the past.
Police have not yet released the mother’s name and are still investigating the matter.
