(Jacksonville, FL) — Fan favorite Tim Tebow is no longer a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The team cut him as it begins to shave its roster before the start of the regular season.
Tebow had joined the team just a few months ago and was working to be a tight end, a position that catches the ball and blocks.

The former Florida Gators quarterback tweeted about his release, saying he was “grateful for the chance to have pursued a dream.”
