An Uber driver and his two passengers are considering themselves very lucky, after a dangerous ride along I-95 in Broward.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Honda was driving south on the highway near Hollywood Blvd. during the early hours of Wednesday, when shots suddenly rang out around them.
Officials say it happened around 1:45 a.m., as four shots struck the car.
They say that one of the bullet’s hit the car’s bumper, and the other three struck the driver’s side.
Luckily, no one was injured.
The driver, who had picked up his passengers at the Hard Rock Casino, told 911 dispatchers that the shooters were riding in a Mercedes Benz and exited I-95 at Hollywood Blvd.

“He’s got guns. He’s shooting at us,” the driver can be heard saying in his dash cam video.
Hollywood police officers who were in the area at the time of the incident went after the Mercedes.
Two men reportedly ditched that vehicle in the 1300 block of Polk St. and ran from the area.
They were both located and taken into custody at around 4:30 a.m. The suspects’ identities have not been released.
FHP’s Bureau of Crime Investigation and Intelligence is now investigating the shooting.
