This week on The Docket, just in time for the midterm elections a Florida Democratic congresswoman is proposing a bill to “refund” the police to help fight the dramatic increase in violent crime across the country. A former Tampa cop is on trial for murder after he shot a guy who was texting in a movie theater. And finally after 40 years, fingerprints and DNA from a rape/murder cold case are finally found hiding in plain sight inside police department evidence vaults.
