The 2022 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday begins Monday July 25

The 2022 Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday begins Monday July 25 and extends through Aug. 7 to help parents defray the cost of the upcoming school year.
The Florida Department of Revenue details exactly which back-to-school items are tax exempt.

Items included in the tax-free holiday:
Clothing, footwear, and accessories selling for $100 or less per item
School supplies selling for $50 or less per item
Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles with a sales price of $30 or less
Personal computers and related accessories purchased for noncommercial home or personal use with a sales price of $1,500 or less

Here are some of the items that are NOT included in Florida’s Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday:

Items not included in the tax-free holiday:
Clothing items more than $100.
School supply items more than $50.
Computers and computer-related accessories with a sales price of more than $1,500.
Computers and computer-related accessories purchased for commercial purposes.
Rental of any eligible items.
Repairs or alterations of any eligible items.
Eligible items purchased at a theme park, entertainment complex, hotel resort or airport.
