(SAN ANTONIO) – Christina Lee Powell, 39, was found dead in her car outside of a strip mall after she went missing for three weeks.

According to sources, Powell was last seen leaving her San Antonio house on July 5 at approximately 10:34 a.m., after notifying her workplace that she would be ‘running late.’

Camera footage captured Powell rushing out the door, and law enforcement launched a search 3 days later.

She was discovered dead on Saturday night in the passenger seat of her Nissan Rogue car, which was parked for ‘about a week’  outside the Huebner Oaks Center strip mall in San Antonio.

“My beautiful daughter, Christina Powell, has been found, deceased,” wrote Powell’s mother, Claudia Mobley. “I am heartbroken. Thank you for all your prayers.”

Her body, which had no visible signs of trauma, ‘was parked in the same location for about a week,’ according to police.

The cause of her death is currently unknown.

However, temperatures reached over 100F in San Antonio the previous week, which would cause the internal temperature of a car to reach a sweltering 130 to 172.
