Beaumont, Texas Mayor Becky Ames was forced to apologize after she was busted her visiting a nail salon, violating her own stay-at-home orders for her city.

12NewsNow said Ames visited the salon on Tuesday, which should have been shuttered due to Ames’ own lock down orders.

A flood of complaints rolled in, leading to investigations by the county’s D.A. and the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Ames has apologized, saying there was no malice in her actions.

She said she just needed the acetone removed from her old manicure and was “in and out in ten minutes.” She admitted “I regret my action that day and I’m honestly sorry.”
