Authorities in Minnesota have arrested a teen who allegedly threw a young boy off a 31-foot water slide because he was tired of waiting.
The incident occurred Tuesday afternoon at Apple Valley Aquatic Center.
According to the report, 18-year-old Roman Adams walked onto the water slide’s platform, picked up the child and threw him off the landing to the ground below.
The child landed on the concrete 30- feet below and was rushed to the hospital where he immediately underwent surgery.
Authorities say the child is now in stable condition but has numerous fractures to both his feet, a broken femur in one leg and shattered bones in a shoulder.
When police spoke to Adams who is said to have developmental issues and did not know the child before the incident, Adams told them frustrated about the line taking so long.
He also told authorities that he “knew what he did was wrong.”
Adams was charged Wednesday with third-degree assault. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 17th.
