
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL– A 15-year-old has been taken to a hospital after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bike to school.
The incident occurred at 6:40 a.m. on Southwest Cashmere Boulevard.
Authorities say the teen was riding in the crosswalk when a vehicle traveling west on Southwest Bellevue Avenue hit him.
The teen was said to have non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was given a ticket for careless driving.
