Teen facing murder charges after adoptive parents found dead

Chesapeake, VA– A 15-year-old boy is facing murder charges after his adoptive parents were found dead in their home.
The bodies were discovered in the 1800 block of Peartree Street around 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 10th.
Authorities say they received a call stating that two people were hurt and in need of assistance.
When officials arrived at the home, the victims were dead.
According to the Chesapeake Police Department, the victims appeared to have been killed with “a knife and/or a hammer.”
The couple’s adoptive son was taken into custody and is facing two counts of aggravated murder.
Officials have not determined a motive behind the killing but say that the investigation is ongoing.
