TAMPA, FL– A 9-foot alligator has been relocated to a new home after it was found wandering the streets of Tampa.
The alligator was found on Wednesday near W. Kathleen St and N. Howard Ave.
Police bodycam video shows officers attempting to wrangle the alligator so that it could be relocated.
An officer was able to sneak up behind the animal and put a rope around its mouth to keep it shut.
The officer then duck-taped the gators mouth to secure the hold.
The gator was released to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to be relocated to a more suitable area.
