PALM BAY, FL–
A Palm Bay Police officer has been arrested following an investigation into his inappropriate relationship with a minor.
Officer Sheridon Archer, who is 23 years old was taken into custody on Wednesday.
Authorities say they were made aware of the allegations on September 18th and forwarded the concern to The Florida Department of Law enforcement for further investigation.
Through their investigation, the agency learned that Archer met the 13-year-old girl online through one of her social media accounts.
They also learned that Archer met up with the girl on at least two occasions where they engaged in sexual intercourse.
He was said to have been on duty both times.
Archer was booked into the Brevard County Jail on a $500,000.
