DANIA BEACH, FL– Members of the Broward Sheriff’s Office SWAT team are currently on-site at a motel in Dania Beach.
The incident is unfolding at the Rodeway Inn and Suites located at 2440 FL-84.
While many details about the situation are unknown at this moment, officials did report that the situation involves a person who has barricaded themselves inside one of the rooms.
A witness reported that most of the police seem to be working toward the back of the motel.
It is unclear if authorities have gained access to the room.
All entrances and exits are blocked off to the motel.
Locals are asked to stir clear of the area.
