On Thursday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect they believe stole a vehicle that led to the death of a wheel-chair bound husky.
Deputies arrested 19-year-old Jephthe Francis on 15 charges stemming from a vehicle theft last Thursday in a Dollar Tree Parking lot in Oakland Park, Florida.
He is also charged for the death of the disabled dog Zorra.
According to reports, Francis’ arrest is eliciting strong reactions from those who helped in the search for the animal.
“Face of the devil! Justice for Zorra,” wrote 100+ Dogs of the Everglades Florida on its Facebook page. The organization, along with Jamie Katz Pet Detective, helped Ferrari in the search for the missing dog.
Francis is scheduled to appear before a judge on Thursday.
Tragic news, a disabled dog stolen with her owner’s car has been found dead.
Last week, Wanda Ferrari left her beloved dog Zorra in her air-conditioned car as she went into a store last week. That’s when someone stole her car.
Zorra was a rescue dog. Her back legs were paralyzed and she had to use a pink wheelchair to get around.
Overnight police recovered the stolen car in Lauderdale Lakes and found Zorra dead inside.
