
Authorities in Springfield, Virginia are currently searching for a gunman who took part in the murder of a military couple. Police say the couple identified as 55-year-old Edward McDaniel Jr. and 63-year-old Brenda McDaniel were killed in front of their home around 9:20 a.m. A witness told police that they heard about five gun shots and found the couple dead in the yard. Police Chief Kevin Davis said the couple was shot a point blank range. The couple’s son and another person were home at the time, however, they were inside the home at the time and unharmed. One suspect has been taken into custody while authorities are searching for another suspect, 20-year-old Ronnie Keandre Marshall.

While authorities are still investigating the incident, it was reported that the murders could be connected to an attempted robbery at the home on Monday. Authorities also reported that Marshall is known to a relative of the family. The U.S. Marshals Service has offered a $10K reward to any information leading to an arrest.
