(MIAMI, FLA) — Miami Dade Police are actively investigating an attempted abduction caught on surveillance footage, in which a woman can be heard screaming and running away from a man that tried to abduct her.
The incident occurred off Southwest 24th Street and 22nd Avenue at around 9 p.m. Wednesday in Miami, according to reports.
The footage shows a woman on her cell-phone walking down the street of a neighborhood, when a man suddenly ran towards her and grabbed her from behind.
The woman’s blaring screams captured the attention of neighbors, and the man immediately fled in response.
Prior to the abduction, the woman says she first encountered the man at a store when she was shopping, and that he then followed her.
According to a police report, the man is described as ‘Hispanic, light mulatto male, who stands between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a medium build.
The suspect was seen in the footage wearing a dark colored hat, a blue surgical mask, and a dark colored shirt with khaki shorts.
