SunFest announced Wednesday that it would not be moving forward with a festival this year.
“We have seen great uncertainty from artists about putting their fans into a large.
We have decided that we will not move forward with 2021 SunFest due to growing concerns from artists about being in a large, live music setting. Save the Date for 2022: Apr. 28-May 1! pic.twitter.com/7E9VJLTOWO

“We have seen great uncertainty from artists about putting their fans into a large music festival setting,” read an announcement. “Unfortunately, this is the current state of the touring industry. Given this feedback, we have determined that we cannot go forward for 2021. SunFest, without enough notable musical artists, simply is not SunFest, and we believe we owe our fans and sponsors more than that.”
The organization said that they will immediately begin planning for SunFest 2022, which is expected to take place April 28 through May 1.
