(PORT ST. LUCIE, FL)– A student is recovering in the hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while on her way to school Monday morning.
The student was struck at Crosstown Pkwy and SW Cameo Boulevard as she was crossing the street.
Authorities say the teen was airlifted with non-life threatening head injuries and is currently in stable.
The driver remained at the scene and is working with investigators.
Officials are reporting that the driver was not at fault.
