STUART, FL–
A 60-year-old man has been arrested after he pointed a gun at a tow truck driver and demanded his vehicle be released.
The incident occurred on Thursday
The Stuart Police Department says the tow truck driver was called to tow the vehicle because it had an expired tag and it was parked on private property.
As the tow truck driver began towing the vehicle, he noticed a man holding a gun and walking toward him.
The man, identified as Henry Wilson, then turned the driver’s truck off and removed the keys from the ignition.
Wilson was said to have then pointed the gun at the driver and demanded that the driver release his vehicle.
The situation continued until authorities arrived.
Authorities say it took several officers to apprehend Wilson but he was eventually taken into custody.
Wilson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed burglary, resisting without violence, and improper exhibition of a firearm. His bond is set at $23,500.
