Special Election to fill Alcee Hastings’ congressional seat today

Election Day is Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in the Special General Election for U.S. Congressional District 20 and Special Primary Election for Florida House District 88.

The candidates are fighting to fill the congressional seat left vacant by U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings who died last year of pancreatic cancer.

Election Day Reminders:
The Special Election Day is Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

On Election Day, you must vote at your assigned polling place.

You can find your polling place on your Voter Registration Card or you may enter your voter information at www.votepalmbeach.gov/Voters/Precinct-Finder.

Remember to bring a valid photo and signature ID. For a list of acceptable forms of identification, refer to our website.

Safe Voting Reminders:
Our Elections Team is committed to following all COVID safety protocols and following CDC guidelines to ensure the health and wellness of voters, poll workers, and employees.

Poll workers will be wearing masks, practicing social distancing, and sanitizing voting booths and common areas throughout the day.

Please practice healthy behaviors to protect yourself and others.

Vote-by-Mail Reminders:
The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot to be mailed to you was 5:00 p.m. on January 1, 2022. However, a ballot can be picked up in person at one of our four office locations during office hours through 5:00 p.m. on January 10, 2022.

If you have not returned your Vote-by-Mail ballot, please bring your completed mail ballot to one of our four offices. Our Main Office in West Palm Beach will be open until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day and our Branch offices close at 5:00 p.m. on Election Day. Your completed Vote-by-Mail ballot may also be returned to a secure drop box location:
