Spanx CEO and founder awards employees with $10,000, 2 first-class plane tickets

The CEO and founder of Spanx an intimate apparel brand that helps women feel confident and snatched, gave her employees a huge surprise after the company was acquired by alternative asset manager Blackstone.

Sara Blakely, who founded the company in 2000, announced to Spanx workers they would get two first-class plane tickets to anywhere in the world along with $10,000 in cash to splurge on the trip.

Blakely posted a video on her social media, announcing the big news to employees.

She first teased the announcement by spinning a globe.

Employees could be heard cheering in the background.

Blakely is originally from Clearwater, Florida and attended Clearwater High School.
