A 30-year-old man who was captured on video attacking seagulls on a beach is now facing felony charges.
Paul John Flaucher of Jesup, Iowa was arrested on Wednesday after he turned himself in at the Collier County Jail.
Authorities in South Beach had been searching for Flaucher after he was filmed hitting several seagulls with a shovel on a Marco Island beach in November.
One of the seagulls suffered a broken wing and is no longer able to fly authorities said.
Flaucher has been charged with one count of aggravated animal cruelty.
