Apple iPhone users will soon be able to unsend or edit text messages after they’ve hit send.

The feature is part of the new iOS 16 announced by Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Jose.

The update allows iPhone users to edit messages and even unsend them but, it will only work with iMessage messages, meaning only interactions with other iPhone users will see the changes.

Samsung and other smart phone users will still not be able to unsend accidental messages or fix text message typos.

The operating system update is due to arrive in the coming months.
