Shots Fired: WPB Police Chief Frank Adderley on local protests and curfew

The mayor of West Palm Beach Keith James last night placed a 72 hour nighttime curfew on the city as protesters took to the streets along Clematis, Rosemary Square, Palm Beach Lakes even shutting down I-95 for a few hours last night between Palm Beach Lakes and Southern.

He had his hands full last night as protesters attempted to loot the Palm Beach Outlets, Best Buy and nearby Target. Shots were fired at windows of businesses in the Outlets shattering glass. Glass was broken at the Target across the street and the store looted. There have been no injuries reported.

Shots were fired outside Palm Beach Outlets, several stores were damaged and Geek Squad van was set on fire in Best Buy parking lot and; other businesses ransacked.

Some protesters also made their way across the bridge to Palm Beach where they were met by a heavy police presence. There is a curfew in place in the town of Palm Beach from 9 PM to 6 AM until further notice.
