(CINCINNATI, OHIO) — Law enforcement are reportedly in an active standoff with an armed man that attempted to break into the FBI Cincinnati office at approximately 9 am, according to sources.

The standoff follows after a pursued chase on I-71 and Highway 73 in Clinton County.

The suspect fled the scene of the chase on Interstate 71 and drove to the FBI Cincinnati headquarters.

The armed man fired shots from an AR-15 style rifle and nail gun into the Visitor Screening Facility, leading to a current standoff involving the FBI, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and local police.

“Law enforcement has traded shots with a male suspect who is wearing a gray shirt and body armor,” said Clinton Co. Emergency Management Agency.
