
(BOCA RATON) — The Broward County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one woman in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The alleged shooter then led officers on a three county chase that ended on I-95 at Congress Avenue in Boca Raton.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. Saturday in the 4000 block of SW 18th Street in the Broward city of West Park.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue found the victim at the scene and transported her to the hospital.
Special Victims Unit and crime scene detectives were called to investigate the scene, according to the BSO.
A suspect was eventually located by officers in Miami-Dade County and a pursuit ensued north on I-95 through Broward one Palm Beach counties. Finally officers pulled over and apprehended the shooting suspect without incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
