Sudden gunfire killed 3 people and wounded at least 11 others in downtown Philadelphia late Saturday night, WPTV reports.

Officers patrolling the downtown area heard multiple gunshots and witnessed several suspects firing into a large crowd just before midnight.

Two men and a woman were killed in the attack and their names have not yet been released.

The condition of the 11 wounded civilians is still unknown.

Authorities recovered two handguns at the scene and no arrests have been made.
