Michigan State Police are reporting that they have rescued a sex trafficking victim after pulling her over during a traffic stop.

The incident occurred on Tuesday around 2:15 a.m.

Officials say they noticed a black Dodge Charger speeding down a roadway and pulled them over.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly gave authorities a fake name and told them she did not have an ID.

Upon further investigation, they found that the driver was a 15-year-old sex trafficking victim who had been reported missing by her family in Detroit two months earlier.

The girl also explained that she is pregnant.  She was taken into custody and driven to a hospital where she was examined.

Officials say they are planning to return the girl to her family.
