The coronavirus pandemic continues to affect Congress.
This time, Republican Senator and former Florida Governor Rick Scott says he is now in quarantine “out of an abundance of caution,” after coming into close contact with someone who has COVID-19.
Scott tweeted Saturday that the contact happened Friday night, according to a report from WPEC-TV:
After arriving in Florida last night, I came into contact with someone who subsequently tested positive for COVID.
I was tested this morning and the result was negative. I have no symptoms, but out of an abundance of caution, I will be immediately quarantining.

He went on to say that he tested negative for the virus on Saturday morning.
Scott has not provided any other information as of yet.
