(WEST PALM BEACH)- An apparent problem with a district-wide security system caused a false alert to go out to some Palm Beach County school facilities on Friday.

A robocall issued to parents of public school students assured them there were no lockdowns in effect at any of the district’s 236 schools .

The cause of the error and its effect on operations is not yet clear.
