PINECREST, FL– The driver of a Miami-Dade County school bus is said to be “OK” after a chain reaction crash caused the driver to hit a utility pole.
The incident occurred Thursday morning at Southwest 88th Street and South Dixie Highway.
Pinecrest Police reported that a Honda collided with the bus which caused the bus to hit the pole.
The bus driver was the only person on the bus at the time.
Authorities reported that everyone was checked out at the scene and that no one needed to go to the hospital.
Several lights were out in the area due to the crash. Miami-Dade Police and Pinecrest PD assisted with directing traffic until Florida Power & Light and AT&T could restore the power.
