Officials in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties are hosting sandbag distributions in preparation for tropical depression Fred.

Fred is expected to impact parts of Florida beginning Friday night through Monday.

The National Hurricane Center is predicting that Fred will bring between 4 and 7 inches of rain in some areas.

Those interested in picking up the sandbags can find them at Veterans Park in Lauderhill at 7600 NW 50th St.

Other locations include Legion Park, 6447 NE 7th Ave., and Grapeland Park, 1550 NW 37th Ave., in Miami.

Distribution of the Lauderhill location began at 9:00 am while distributions for the Miami locations began at 12 p.m.
