West Palm Beach, FL– The Palm Beach Sheriff’s department is reporting that a 51-year-old Royal Palm Beach man has died following a head-on collision after he drove his vehicle in the wrong direction on Okeechobee BLVD.
The incident occurred on Monday around 3:30 p.m.
Authorities say Kevin Connors was driving a 2009 Honda Accord east in the westbound lanes of Okeechobee BLVD when he collided with a 72-year-old woman who was turning west onto Okeechobee BLVD from the northbound off-ramp to I-95.
The collision caused the 72-year-old woman’s car to spin and hit the vehicle behind her.
The woman was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the vehicle behind her was not injured.
Authorities say Connors may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
The Palm Beach County Medical Examiner is working to determine his exact cause of death.
