British singer Rod Stewart’s case was reset Tuesday for April 17 at 9 a.m.
During the short hearing this morning, his lawyer waived the right for a speedy trial.
Stewart and his 39 year-old son reportedly got into an altercation with a security guard New Year’s Eve at The Breakers Hotel on Palm Beach.
They have both pleaded not guilty to the battery charge stemming from the incident.
Stewart’s pretrial for the case is now set for 45 days from now.
The singer was not in court Tuesday morning.
The younger Stewart allegedly first pushed the guard before his famous dad reportedly delivered a punch to the security guard’s left rib cage area, according to the police report.
A Palm Beach police officer reviewed video of the incident and identified Stewart and his son as the “primary aggressors.”
