(BOYNTON BEACH, FLA) — Boynton Beach police are investigating after one person was shot during a road rage incident that ended up in a parking lot off Congress Avenue and Boynton Beach Boulevard Monday afternoon.

The raging drivers continued their argument in the parking lot of the Vitamin Shoppe at the Boynton Place shopping plaza.

Police said a confrontation began in the street before it spilled into the parking lot where one driver pulled a gun.

One driver shot another driver, allegedly in self defense, and the other driver is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The alleged shooter remained at the scene and was questioned by detectives.

No arrests have been made at this time.
