RIVIERA BEACH, FL– The Riviera Beach Police Department will be relocated to a temporary location while repairs are made to the original building.
According to the report, the building was built in 1978 and “no longer meets the demands of Police Department staff, and it is no longer feasible to repair and maintain the facility.”
The facility is expected to be demolished sometime in October and then rebuilt, however, a timeline for the rebuilding process has not yet been released.
In the meantime, The department will operate out of a temporary location at the Port Center Building on 2051 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Officials say normal business hours will still apply, and the move will not interfere with or impact the department’s daily duties to the city.
