(West Palm Beach, FL)– A suspect wanted for the murder of a 34-year-old man in West Palm Beach has been arrested in Georgia.
20-year-old George Harris IV was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in Hinesville this week.
Officials say Harris IV shot and killed the victim in the 1000 block of Ninth Street just before 2 a.m. on April 27.
The victim was said to have left his home around 1:00 a.m. following an argument with his girlfriend.
He then returned around 1:30 a.m. to retrieve his belongings, at which point, the argument resumed.
Once the victim returned to the parking lot, he was shot multiple times by Harris IV.
The victim’s girlfriend told the police that she heard four gunshots and when she went outside, she noticed a man wearing all-black clothing and a black ski mask running toward nearby railroad tracks.
After an investigation, authorities identified the suspect as Harris.
He now faces a charge of first-degree murder with a weapon.
