(LONDON) — Rishi Sunak has been chosen as the new British prime minister less than a week after Liz Truss stepped down from the position after just six weeks in office.
Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson withdrew himself from the race and said he could no longer unite his party. Sunak becomes Britain’s third prime minister in less than two months and will inherit an economy that some say is in turmoil.
