Right to Carry in cities and states goes before the Supreme Court

If SCOTUS rules on behalf of the citizens who sued New York over their draconian gun regulations then people may not have to jump through hoops in order to legally arm themselves in NYC and elsewhere.

All states allow carrying a concealed gun in public, though 34 require a state-issued permit. New York and seven other states provide local officials with more discretion to deny permit requests, and they are most likely to be affected by the outcome of this case.
