Rep. Gaetz spurs abortion rights fundraising by saying “Nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb!”

A 19-year-old Texas student has raised over $400-thousand for abortion rights nationally after apparently being body-shamed by conservative Florida Congressman, Matt Gaetz.

Abortion rights activist Olivia Julianna works for Gen-Z for Change and says donations started pouring in nationwide after Gaetz told a right-wing conference that “nobody wants to impregnate you if you look like a thumb.”

Julianna shared his remarks on Twitter, and began using it as an abortion rights fundraising tool.
