A registered sex offender has been arrested after he was allegedly caught trying to lure children from outside of a community center.

A witness told the police that they saw the suspect outside Collins Community Center Thursday trying to get children to come over to him.

The Broward County Sheriff’s office canvased the area and located 38-year-old Frederick Muller.

Authorities say Muller is a registered sexual predator who was released in June after being convicted of lewd and lascivious battery on a person aged 12 to 15.

The community center is just blocks away from Oakland Park Elementary School. Authorities say the students in the area at the time appeared to have just been released from school.

As of now, no victims have come forward.

BSO is asking anyone who may have been victimized or has information to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
