A very rare cotton candy color lobster has been caught in Maine.
Bill Coppersmith says the lobster ended up in his trap, but doesn’t have to worry about ending up on someone’s dinner plate.
The odds of catching a cotton candy lobster is reportedly one in 100 million.
Due to its rarity, the lobsterman decided to preserve the crustation.
He’s named the lobster “Haddie,” in honor of his granddaughter, and contacted his boss whose company, Get Maine Lobster, will work with local marine organizations and aquariums to give “Haddie” a safe home.
Get Maine Lobster is currently holding the lobster in their tank and are looking for any aquariums interested in adopting the lobster to contact them.
