MIAMI — Florida Highway Patrol arrested rapper Kodak Black Friday, charging him with trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, WPTV reports.
Kodak Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, was pulled over by the highway patrol after they observed the window tints on his SUV were darker than the legal limit.
Officers detected the smell of marijuana as they approached the vehicle, which prompted a search.
Officers found a small clear bag with 31 white tablets and nearly $75,000 cash.
The agency later found that the rapper’s vehicle tag and driver’s license were both expired.
Black was booked into jail in Fort Lauderdale and is awaiting a bond hearing.
