President Trump Cracks Down on Violence with “Overwhelming Force, Domination”

After calling for strong federal action to keep American streets safe amid protests President Trump is patting himself on the back, saying Washington, DC had “no problems” overnight while making “many arrests” during ongoing protests. Last night Trump told the nation that he will take matters into his own hands if governors and mayors don’t. Trump is threatening to deploy active duty military forces against violent protesters if local governments don’t get the rioting and looting under control. Tuesday, Trump tweeted that the situation in Minneapolis was “also great” and added — “Overwhelming force. Domination.” All this a week after the brutal death of George Floyd while in custody of Minneapolis police.

Trump says it’s his job to do whatever it takes to protect the American people. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo mocked the president and declined to activate the national guard.
