PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Many Treasure Coast employers are having trouble hiring workers as business returns to normal.
Many unemployed people are making up to $900 a week from government stimulus and find it more profitable to stay home.

To help with the need, the City of Port St Lucie alongside Career Source Research Coast is hosting a free, virtual job fair from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 20.

Early participation for veterans starts at 9:30 a.m., according to a news release.

Attendees will have online access to employers hiring in Martin, Indian River and St. Lucie counties through live chat and video conferencing.

Some industries looking for employees include health care, skilled trades, manufacturing and hospitality.

Job seekers and businesses looking to hire can register at www.cityofpsl.com/jobfair.

Over 100 employers have signed up to hire staff.
