The owner of a popular food boat, Jay’s Sand Bar Food Boat, is starting from scratch after it was hit by a wake from a passing boat and sank off Fort Lauderdale.

The starboard outrigger was sheared off causing the boat to sink in less than five minutes.

The owner says it’s a total loss and with no insurance, he could be out of pocket for at least $80-thousand.

A GoFundMe page has already raised over 700 dollars.
