Two children were transported to the hospital as trauma alerts after being stabbed Friday morning in Lauderhill, police said.

The stabbing occurred at a home on Northwest 44th Terrace.

Lauderhill police Lt. Mike Santiago said the children were attacked by someone with a sharp object, possibly a machete.

The ages and conditions of the children weren’t immediately known.
