(OCALA, FL) — Authorities are searching for a man and a woman who were caught on surveillance stealing an elderly woman’s purse. 

The incident occurred at the Publix on SW Highway 200 in Central Florida. 

Officials say the man distracted the elderly victim with a conversation while his accomplice stole the victim’s purse. 

The duo then reportedly went to a Walmart and used the victim’s credit card to buy a gift card. 

Authorities believe this may not be the first time the suspects have targeted a victim. 

Officials also reported that the suspects may not be from Central Florida.
