(NORTH CHICAGO, IL) — After a brief chase, the suspect in Sunday’s mass shooting, 22-year-old Robert Crimo, is in custody.
An alert North Chicago Police officer spotted the suspect and pursued his silver Honda until the suspect finally pulled over and was detained without incident.
Crimo is suspected of firing a high-power rifle off the roof of a store at people in a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park Sunday morning. Six people were killed and dozens injured.
No charges have been filed yet in this latest mass shooting case, bit Crimo remains in custody and under investigation.
