Officials in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina are currently investigating an alligator attack that left one person dead.
The victim’s body was discovered in a pond last Friday.
Investigators say they have located and euthanized the alligator, however, they are now investigating why the animal attacked.
According to the report fatal alligator attacks happen less than once a year.
